Struggling

Sometimes moments are a struggle.  Sometimes days are a struggle.  Sometimes weeks are a struggle.  Sometimes months are a struggle.  And sometimes I wonder if life will always be a struggle.
A struggle to get out of bed.  A struggle to be productive.  A struggle to hold back the tears.  A struggle to care.

Yesterday Richard gave me a CD he made me for Mother's Day.
He knows the cry of my heart as we approach Anna's birthday this month...

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why--I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

In Christ, there are no goodbyes
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again

And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow

I've never been more homesick than now

(Homesick, Mercy Me)

He also knows the words I need to hear...

Have you ever heard a love song that
Set your spirit free
Have you ever watched a sunrise and
Felt you could not breathe
What if it's Him
What if it's God speaking

Have you ever cried a tear that
You could not explain
Have you ever met a stranger
Who already knew your name
What if it's Him
What if it's God speaking

Who knows how He'll get a hold of us
Get our attention to prove He is enough
He'll do and He'll use
Whatever He wants to
To tell us "I love you"

Have you ever lost a loved one
Who you thought should still be here
Do you know what it feels like
To be tangled up in fear
What if He's somehow involved
What if He's speaking through it all

Who knows how He'll get a hold of us
Get our attention to prove He is enough
He'll do and He'll use
Whatever He wants to
To tell us "I love you"

His ways are higher
His ways are better
Though sometimes strange
What could be stranger
Than God in a manger

Who knows how He'll get a hold of us
Get our attention to prove He is enough
Who knows how He'll get a hold of you
Get your attention to prove He is enough
He'll do and He'll use
Whatever He wants to
To tell us "I love you"

God is speaking
"I love you"

(God Speaking, Mandisa)

He also got me this colander....
but the CD made up for that.

Your husband is very sweet. What a wonderful gift! (The CD, of course.)

A colander is always boring, until the pasta is done and you need one quick! Then they are pretty cool.

You guys make me laugh, cry then laugh.

Spring isn't the same...your birthday, Arts Festival, Anna's birthday, well...there are memories in every season...even snow storm sleep-overs. Anyway, we miss you desperately and can't wait til a little time in the summer..wish Anna was coming with you. Love, SN
